You don’t have to run from a black bear. Simple rule I’ve learned about bears: “Black, Fight Back; Brown, lie down; White, Say Goodnight”. Black bears tend to be really easy to scare away unless with it’s cubs. Brown, you lie on you stomach to protect your organs and hope you survive if it’s very close to you. And if it’s a polar bear, there’s little chance you’ll survive, but they obviously are in the super cold poles, as in the name POLAR bear.
