“She’s ah very happy being taken care of by a man. And she has no uh uh aspirations to be taken care of by a woman.”

Note that Lily Tomlin, while not publicly out, was known around Hollywood to be lesbian, and she had met her future wife in 1971, prior to this interview, which may be what he is referring to there.

Tomlin [told the New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/1976/06/06/archives/lily-tomlin-not-just-a-funny-girl-behind-the-ringydingys-is-a.html) a couple of years later, when asked about the moment: “It was a perfectly pure act. I felt angels walked me off.”

Lily Tomlin does two of my favorite voice roles: Ms. Frizzle from Magic School Bus and Aunt May from Into the Spiderverse.

Both of those roles are such cool grown women.

This is disgusting on so many levels but the thing that gets me the most is that he objectifies the wife and mother of his kids but SHE has to make sure his feelings aren’t hurt according to these two buffoons.

The manosphere is teaching young boys to talk exactly like this again. I could hear a podcaster say this today and I wouldn’t be shocked. We’re so cooked

  5. “she has no aspirations to be taken care of by a woman.” the dig at her for being a lesbian was so so nasty. fuck this guy.
