Whether you love or hate the Star Wars prequel movies, you can’t deny the effect Jar Jar Binks had on Episode I. When I first watched The Phantom Menace I found him to be an absolutely ridiculous character, but then I came across that one theory and my opinions shifted. What if Jar Jar is actually a Sith Lord?
The theory first started to spring up on Reddit more than 10 years ago when one user went into detail making the case for Darth Jar Jar and had some truly compelling arguments. None of them have proven to be true, however, but that hasn’t stopped Darth Jar Jar from being brought to life in LEGO form. He first appeared in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a Disney+ Original series. Although his appearance in the show isn’t actually canon, it has thankfully resulted in his inclusion as a minifigure in the popular Dark Falcon set.

LEGO Star Wars The Dark Falcon

The LEGO Dark Falcon is one of many different brick-built iterations of the Millenium Falcon, but it’s definitely one of the coolest ones. It’s not nearly as massive as the most expensive Falcon, but at over 1,500 pieces it’s still a pretty considerable size. The reimagined dark and brooding ship itself stands out against the sea of grey you usually get with popular Star Wars sets and comes with some of the most unique minifigures LEGO Star Wars has ever seen.
In addition to Darth Jar Jar, you also get Bounty Hunter C-3PO, Darth Dev, Darth Rey, Beach Luke, and Jedi Vader. These are all unexpected versions of these characters with backstories fit for an alternative timeline. Beach Luke is my personal favorite seeing as he somehow still feels out of place even among this crew, but an all-white Vader is also pretty sweet.
The Dark Falcon set is currently on sale for $149.99 as part of a larger LEGO Star Wars sale going on right now. With May the Fourth right around the corner, this is just one of many discounts on Star Wars that will start popping up at Amazon ahead of the event.
