Sarah Ferguson is said to be considering her next move after receiving substantial financial offers for an exclusive interview or television documentary series.

The former Duchess of York has remained silent publicly since becoming entangled in the Epstein controversy, though she has refuted any awareness of illegal activities despite being frequently mentioned in the extensive documents released by the US Department of Justice concerning the billionaire paedophile’s offences.

Following a long absence from the public eye, Fergie was recently photographed at an exclusive Austrian ski chalet costing £2,000 per night, where she is thought to have been maintaining a discreet presence since her connection to Epstein emerged.

According to a source speaking to the Mirror in recent weeks, Fergie, who is understood to be facing financial difficulties, is considering an in-depth interview about her experiences, with American streaming platforms and multiple British production companies showing keen interest, including one US proposal reportedly valued at $1.75m (£1.3m).

Nevertheless, despite the substantial financial incentive, Sarah is reportedly apprehensive about how such a revelation might affect her daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

The source revealed: “Sarah knows she needs the money and she’s open to the right television opportunity, but she’s also very aware of the tightrope she’s walking. Her daughters are part of the Royal Family, and anything she does reflects on them.”, reports the Mirror.

They added: “There’s a real sense she wants, in fact needs, to tell her side of the story, but she knows it has to be handled carefully. She can’t ignore the reality of how this looks, especially given Andrew’s close relationship with the paedophile.”

While a tell-all interview remains unconfirmed, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes that Sarah Ferguson’s daughters would be devastated should she choose to go public with her account. Any such interview would inevitably cast a spotlight on Beatrice and Eugenie’s potential ties to Epstein, something the pair have been keen to distance themselves from.

Speaking to the Mirror, Jennie cautioned: “I think her daughters would be in despair if she went ahead with a tell-all interview. Whatever she said would result in headline news and the sort of publicity that Beatrice and Eugenie are desperately trying to avoid.”

She continued: “If she wants to protect her family, her best strategy is to continue keeping as low a profile as possible. She is obviously angry and hurt by what has happened – although, frankly, she has only herself to blame for continuing her friendship with Epstein, and also lying about having ended it.”

While Jennie acknowledged Fergie’s desire to share her version of events, she warned that any tell-all would almost certainly draw on stories from within Palace walls, potentially widening the rift between the former Duchess and the Royal Family even further.

Jennie commented: “Further revelations would only add fuel to the fire and antagonise the Palace even further. I hope Sarah sees sense and refuses the offers which are said to be coming in, even though I’m sure they are highly lucrative.”

While speculation surrounding the tell-all documentary interview is believed to arise from Sarah’s requirement for monetary assistance, the royal commentator remains unconvinced that Fergie is as financially stretched as has been suggested, particularly given her extended stay at the upmarket Austrian ski resort.

“I simply don’t buy the idea that she is desperate for money,” Jennie stated. “She really doesn’t have to stay in these extravagant places she seems to be hanging out in at the moment – no doubt relying on the generosity of the friends she still has.”

The royal commentator proposed that instead of offering her account to the highest bidder in an attempt to restore her reputation, she would fare better by departing the ski resort and adopting a more humble lifestyle as she navigates her existence without Palace financial support.

Jennie remarked: “What’s wrong with renting a modest house wherever she decides to live, being her own woman and cutting her cloth to suit her finances? It’s what the rest of us have to do, and I think she might regain a tiny modicum of respect if she did the same.”
