Rapper Megan Thee Stallion announced Monday that she is ending her starring Broadway run in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” early as she deals with the breakup of her relationship with Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson.

The 31-year-old artist, born Megan Pete, released a statement saying her final performance is Friday. She originally was scheduled to perform through May 17, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It’s been such an honor to be part of ‘Moulin Rouge!’ and I’ve met so many amazing people in this theater,” Pete said in the statement. “Y’all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and the effort y’all put into the work.

“Every single person at the ‘Moulin Rouge!’ has inspired me to go harder as an entertainer. I’m so grateful for the cast and crew that made this experience so meaningful. Y’all are really some of the kindest human beings I’ve ever met! To all the Hotties that showed up or planned to attend, thank you for supporting me during this incredible journey!”

No replacement for Pete has been announced. Pete was the first person to portray Zidler in the production, Billboard reports.

Pete announced Saturday that she had ended her relationship with Thompson, accusing him of infidelity. They had been dating for just under a year, according to Billboard.

“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house … got ‘cold feet,’” Pete wrote on social media. “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????”

Thompson reportedly has not commented on the breakup.
