  1. Idk I feel like this is supposed to be your security’s job. I understand the frustration but get staff to handle it instead of ruining the show for everybody else who paid to see you.

Nothing awkward about making sure the rules of the venue and show are being followed. Filming is banned. It’s not a suggestion.

  3. Who the hell goes to watch theatre to record? Like what are you even going to do with that video?

The first rule of secretly filming a musical is to not bother the actors or get caught. Like we all know it happens, even the actors know it happens but like don’t disrupt the show in any way. Maybe don’t film but I also know that it’s not gonna stop.

Honestly… I don’t hate it. People need to learn theater etiquette. Preferably before they go to a show. Sounds like this guy learned during. The attachment to phones is out of control. Even as a child I was taught when going to a theater you use the bathroom before and after not during, you don’t talk and you don’t use a phone or camera. It’s been like this forever- you’re not entitled to whip out your phone and record everything despite how attached to them society has become.

A queer gender non conforming Black woman following rules/and industry norms, im sure the comments will be very nuanced lets see

  7. During one performance of Dracula she stopped 10 mins into act 2 and made the entire stage crew reset everything because she flubbed a few lines.

It’s absolutely unprofessional behaviour, so this story doesn’t surprise me at all.

Why have I been hearing so much about her lately? Are these articles posted about her for chud reactions?

  9. She made staff cry at a show last year in my area. She forced them to put up dividers in the hallways just so working crew at the facility wouldn’t look at her. She also almost didn’t play because the AC was not right. Nightmare!

I get why everyone is over here but this seems reasonable to me. I could see a lot of performers doing this.

I love her because she’s just so talented, but she’s way too much. Girl.

  12. Audience theatre etiquette has been in the absolute gutter (people singing along at musicals, getting drunk, throwing things on stage, recording). So I’m actually supportive of her walking off. I wouldn’t mind if more of audience member bad behavior was called out. Maybe that would actually change things.

I’ve never heard or seen a good thing about her, she seems insufferable to be around.

Doing live performances will always come with distractions. It’s kind of a stage performers job to just tune those out and continue as best they can. (unless it is harassment/abuse/violence obviously)
