Good for them, honestly. They negotiated as a group and locked in that 2% residual deal back when networks thought streaming was a joke. Now they’re laughing to the bank every time someone needs a comfort watch. Meanwhile, most actors get pennies. It’s not unfair, it’s just smart business. We should all be so lucky to get paid forever for a job we did 20 years ago. Now I’m going to go cry into my paycheck.
Smart of all of them. Given how insanely popular the show still is on streaming and merchandise I’m not surprised it’s still bringing in millions.
Did Seinfeld cast do this? Because then they are also swimming in money.
They can thank David Schwimmer for that, he convinced the others to negotiate as a unit rather than individuals and he set them for life.

As someone who regularly puts on the old seasons to fall asleep to, I am probably responsible for a lot of that streaming $$$.
As they should, it’s one of the best shows of all time and they were all fantastic in it.

This was and still is sort of a double edged sword, it’s fantastic for the 6 of them, but it undeniably had detrimental effects on the actors who came after.
Talk about being set for life.
