Almost 20 years after making their iconic turn as Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel—Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci return to the fashionable streets of New York City and the sleek offices of Runway Magazine in the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2006 phenomenon that defined a generation.

The film reunites the original main cast with director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna, and introduces an all-new runway of characters including Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman also reprise their roles as “Lily” and “Irv” from the first film.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is produced by Wendy Finerman, and executive produced by Michael Bederman, Karen Rosenfelt and Aline Brosh McKenna. The film debuts exclusively in theaters May 1.

  1. Can someone explain to me why some people in the comment section despised Miranda Priestly's Dries van Noten tassel jacket that she was wearing? Yes, it's chaotic and an overkill but maybe there is a narrative behind it?! 😢

  2. I think what made the first film so iconic was that they didn't have access to all of these high fashion designers. So you could tell it they had a lot more fun the first time around.😮 They had to be more creative.

  3. LOTS of suits in this second movie but… where are the LOOKS? Miranda had an ICONIC hair style and now she's… in old lady glasses looking ready for bed? What? No. I want the FASHION of the first movie!

  4. The 1st movie was driven by the story and plot, With Fashion being just a “part” of the story which supports the characters narrative. The fashion was brilliant hence stays with us till now.
With the 2nd it feels More like Fashion over taking the Character themselves.
I mean Do y’all really feel that Andy would wear those outfit “On her own”!!! I am not saying Fashion won’t be her part as a character but with the Bling’s and the dress styled with Huge hats… It’s giving Blake Lively. Andy would be Silent Luxury, Modest and Vibrant at the same time.
I like Emily Blunt here though.
Miranda seems to lose her jewels. I still remember her playing with her necklace and Her shiny Earrings.
With Andy it seems as if Anne Hathaway the actress who is Very into fashion has taken over Rather than the Character Andy. Which is disappointing.

  5. Can’t wait to watch it! Loved the first one! Absolutely to a T dialogue of the first movie! I relate to Anne’s character in that first one, with my first jobs in a legal office mind you!
