The necklace was last seen on Queen Elizabeth II in 1985 and belonged to Queen Victoria’s mother the Duchess of Kent.
These are not the same amethysts that belonged to Mary that were later sold by the Queen Mother (allegedly)
I think these are quite ugly but they’re old. Victoria designated these as heirlooms of the crown deeming they should pass from monarch to monarch.
That necklace is too extra and I would not have worn them with that dress. I think they would look great with a black dress.
Better for a museum display than for wearing.
I like the alterations. She makes it all work.
