  1. How could it be a single timeline? If they are already there, and she has no memory of the events, then clearly this IS a tangent timeline, if those are the only two possible options… which isn't really the case, nor are they even the two most likely possibilities…

  2. That is dumb as hell!!! if you’re not sure telling her will influence the future or not you don’t tell her shit you lock her in her room and then you send her back the first possible opportunity. There’s only possible for downside with no upside.

  3. "Why did we get divorced?"
She cheated on him with an alien whose society views sex super casually and has pheromones that makes anyone affected by them super horny for him. The alien didn't understand how while it fine in his peoples society that wasn't cool to humans.

  4. well if the future her can't remember this happening then its likely the timeline is tangent.
if it was 1 timeline she'd have memories of this happening.

  5. Tries to justify cheating, goes behing his back, and then past self shows up and fucks it up in a way that it creates a new timeline. Yeah, FUCK Kelli

  6. first rule of timetravel. NEVER say anything about the future. It will cause problems which ever way. Butterfly effect is a real thing with timetravel.

  7. Me if I was in. This situation: or how about we wipe her memory and put her in a cryostation then find a way to send her back.

  8. "You are me…"

Actually, she isn't. At least, not yet. We are the sum of our experiences. Past Kelly hadn't experienced what future Kelly had, so no, they are not the same people at all. Even the smallest changes in the past can have ripple effects on the future that are impossible to predict. Even if there are multiverses and they can't affect each other, do you really want to be responsible for possibly destroying the future of another timeline? If time is linear, then you simply cannot let the past be altered or you create a paradox. Since no one has ever time traveled (that we know of), then we really just have no idea what the real dangers of a paradox can be.
