Why Elizabeth Olsen took a break from playing the Scarlet Witch.
Many people are wondering if Scarlet Witch will be in Avengers Doomsday and when were most likely going to see her again. Elizabeth Olsen has been quite open about her marvel plans and frustrations with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

I actually think Marvel didn't know what to do with Wanda during & after Multiverse of Madness and due to the writing being "bad" and "killing Wanda" it gave Marvel the chance to rethink how to use her which ofc gives Elizabeth Olsen a HUGE break from playing the character in live-action – I think she'll return for Doomsday and/or Secret Wars or both and after that she's done with the character so when Marvel do a soft reboot for the X-Men they'll get a new actress to play Wanda so Elizabeth Olsen can say a final goodbye from the character and move on from her

People say the Doctor Strange 2 writers didn't read the Wanda Vision script, sure. But the ending of Wanda Vision literally goes perfectly into Doctor Strange 2 with her being evil since they showed her astral protection in the cabin looking through the darkhold at the end of Wanda Vision. "She was supposed to be a second protagonist" in Doctor Strange 2? After she was dressed as Scarlet Witch looking through the darkhold? That actually doesn't make sense
You know she signed 6 more appearances after Endgame, right?

I never need to see another MCU / Disney movie in my life, but especially one with either the Scarlet Witch or Mystique. Two b-characters that have been so over saturated on screen you’d think they were somehow worthy of the screen time they’ve been given. They’re not!

In Multiverse of Madness, you just see that Elizabeth has NO idea what to do and how to act. One scene she's calm and smooth, another – twitchy and out of place. Some moments just feel straight up awkward. It's obvious she's done with this role

Ive always hated No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness for how they completely ruined Strange, Peter, Wanda and the potential storylines these movies had. It seems like covid had a big role to play and that sucks, but I really wish we could have gotten the original release order of MoM than NWH. And yeah, making our 616 Wanda the main villain was just stupid. They easily could have had her starting to fall to darkness but teaming up with Strange to stop another Wanda who was already too far hone because she was alone, didn't have a Strange, no Avengers, etc.
I hope that an end Credit, maybe doom barley surviving or whatever dooms multiversal plan somehow catches wind of a variant scarlet witch, or the universe Monica went too has a scarlet witch, and if theirs rifts or something, she sees them in an end Credit, OR MAYBE A BILLY REFERENCE, LIKE AN END CREDIT SCENE WHERE WE FIND OUT WANDA LIVED, AND WHEN BILLY'S SPELL WORE OFF SHE REALIZES HES ALIVE!!! And the that can set up vision quest where vision might find Billy or Tommy before Wanda and then they all meet again.

well since scarlet witch expressed interest with interacting with her variants by universe hopping; it wouldn't be so difficult to replace Elizabeth olsen. Either that, or when/if they introduce MCU Magento, make it the version in which his daughter is Wanda; played by another actress…If they go that route, I bet you they'll race bend scarlet witch to be black lol holywood has a thing with turning white redheads into black characters.

There are going to be so many characters in Doomsday that they gotta save a few for Secret Wars, right?? It’s always possible that Wanda is a linchpin of the plan to resolve everything in the latter movie.
