One of Lively’s weaker looks, IMHO. Seems like she really found her stride with the Heavenly Bodies gala.
Danes’ LED infused dress made the rooounds on hobbyist fashion designer and costume designer circles. When people finally got their hands on the fabric it turned out to be an absolute nightmare to work with because of the wiring. What she’s wearing may look simple but it’s a marvel of textile engineering and craftsmanship. That fabric does not want to behave the way Zac Possen’s team made it behave.

I don’t think any dress will ever top the Claire Danes one for me. I love how when you first see it without the lights, you think “oh, that’s a really great ballgown, but is it on theme?” But then you see it in the dark and you totally get it. Such a fantastic and clever interpretation of the theme, and it looks so cool! I wear it in my dreams.

What strikes me about these is that even though everyone looks slim and Hollywood, they look so much healthier and less tweaked than red carpets today.
It also feels like there’s more variety in their faces if that makes sense?
