Despite ongoing speculation, the Oscar-winning actress would attend fashion’s biggest night following the opening weekend of The Devil Wears Prada 2, her rep released a statement to PEOPLE saying, “it has never quite been her scene.” Fans hoped the Devil Wears Prada star would attend, especially given her legendary role as Miranda Priestly and her friendship with Vogue’s former editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who is often said to have inspired the original character.
