The Carter family definitely knows how to make an entrance. It’s safe to say that Beyoncé’s arrival was one of the most highly anticipated of this year’s Met Gala — and she did not disappoint. With husband, Jay-Z, and her 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, by her side, the Cowboy Carter superstar’s return lived up to the hype.

For this year’s Met Gala, Bey wore a dazzling, skeleton-inspired Olivier Rousteing gown with a massive feathered train and intricate crystal headpiece.
“It feels so surreal because my daughter is here,” she told Vogue correspondent La La Anthony. “It’s incredible to be able to share it with her and I think she looks so incredible.”
As for what Bey is looking most forward to tonight? To witness the Met Gala through Blue’s eyes.
“I think it’s really just experiencing this through the eyes of Blue and being able to relax,” she said. “I think, for me, I’m wearing Olivier Rousteing, who is someone that’s been so loyal to me, and I’ve done so many incredible, iconic looks with him, so it’s really about representing him.”
