Irina Shayk turned heads at the 2026 Met Gala in a bold Alexander Wang design featuring a diamond-encrusted bra top

Irina Shayk dared to bare at the 2026 Met Gala.
The 40-year-old model showed off her toned physique in a two-piece naked look for the event’s latest theme, “Fashion Is Art.”
Shayk wore a diamond-encrusted bra top with golden straps and a watch face at the center. A pair of silver circle ornaments was all that covered her nipples.
For her accessories, the model continued the watch motif with gold and silver watch bands on her upper arms. She went for a layered necklace look with chokers at the top, which also mimicked watches.

In addition to the chokers, Shayk wore several golden necklaces and a chain that hung to her belly button.
She paired the bra top with a long, low-waisted black skirt that pooled at her feet.
According to Vogue’s Instagram, the look was designed by Alexander Wang.
Vogue revealed in February that the 2026 Met Gala dress code would be “Fashion Is Art,” which reflects the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s spring 2026 exhibition titled “Costume Art.” The announcement came about two months after the event’s co-chairs —Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour — were announced.

The curator in charge of the new “Costume Art” exhibit, Andrew Bolton, said the exhibition will address “the centrality of the dressed body in the museum’s vast collection,” by pairing paintings, sculptures and other objects spanning the 5,000 years of art represented in The Met, alongside historical and contemporary garments from the Costume Institute.
Shayk is known for her show-stopping looks at the Met Gala. In 2024, for the theme “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” Shayk wore an Old Hollywood-inspired silver slip gown made entirely of an invisible net of Swarovski crystals.
The look was created with 84,000 crystals, and she added even more sparkle with a collection of diamond bangles on both wrists, as well as a statement collar necklace.

Shayk also had a stunning look for the 2019 Met Gala. For that event, she wore a bespoke midnight-blue velvet Burberry gown featuring statement-making draped sleeves, a plunging neckline and a crystal and chain pendant.
The model also attended the star-studded fashion event in 2018, wearing a golden bedazzled dress that transitioned to a feathery train at the bottom. To complete that look, she wore a golden choker and golden strappy heels.
