Staying sober in Hollywood is no easy feat, but a number of female celebrities have successfully kicked alcohol to the curb, and for many of them, it has greatly paid off. Abstaining from alcohol is known to have a variety of health benefits, and practicing sobriety is a lifestyle habit that may even help you live longer. Limiting your alcohol intake can also have a noticeable effect on your physical appearance, particularly when it comes to your skin. A sober lifestyle has been linked to anti-aging skin benefits like increased hydration, reduced inflammation, improved elasticity, and overall better quality of the skin, per Women’s Health.

That’s why the “sober glow-up” is definitely a real thing. Some of your favorite celebs famously don’t indulge in boozy beverages — and it shows. From ageless A-listers like Jamie Lee Curtis and Kristin Davis, to former supermodels like Elle Macpherson and Naomi Campbell, these women prove that staying sober can do wonders for your life, your body, and of course, your beauty regimen.
