Marius Borg Høiby had requested house arrest while awaiting a verdict in his trial. However, the Oslo District Court denied his request, saying "risk of recurrence has not been reduced" and alludes to Høiby using a cell phone whilst incarcerated.

  1. Marius is complaining about lack of contact with individuals aside from officers. NRK wrote he “claims that he feels the harmful effects of being in isolation.”

    eat shit Marius

  2. >I have extremely little human contact. Two to three visits a week.

….he seems so far removed from reality, like his complaints are so wild. He’s harmed, abused and violated so many women, and he shows no remorse in any way. Instead, he keeps on feeling sorry for himself.

Anyway, other details from the article:

    * The police and the court believe he’s still in danger of reoffending; the court points to his phone activity as to why they believe he’ll reoffend and violate the restraining order.
    * Marius promises he’d do anything to get out of his prison cell and be home with his family and friends. He says he won’t reoffend, as he’s aware there are no “second chances”.
    * Marius wants to appeal the decision.
    * Marius has been on remand since February, and the verdict will be in early June.
    * Marius broke the restraining order during the trial when he sent a letter to the Frogner woman on Valentine’s Day. Marius and the Frogner woman apparently also broke up in March, during the trial.
    * (For those who don’t know, the Frogner woman was the victim in Marius’ first arrest. She was in an on-and-off relationship with him during the investigation and the trial – the police had to force the restraining order, as she didn’t want it)
    * There are about 3000 people imprisoned in Norway, and about 700-800 of those are on remand; of those only 12 are allowed house arrest with an ankle monitor, like Marius requested.
