    1. I’m glad she feels this way but at the same time its easy to say this when you’re like 23 and haven’t aged at all. Not to be a pessimist but I’m guessing most of Hollywood felt that way too until they started seeing forehead wrinkles.

She looks so cute here! So glad she doesn’t plan to change her face

    3. Bubbly-End-6156 on

I was so fond of aging when I was 24 and literally full of collagen. By 34, I had less excitement ahead

Edit: I had no idea Billie was 24, I just recall being 24 and very anti-botox 🤣

    4. Everyone thinks this when they’re 24 tbh. 🥲

But I really enjoyed this whole interview! She was really cute and Amy Poehler seems like a genuine fan of hers, I wonder if it’s via one of her kids or something. Finneas is really good on the intro too*.

Amy’s three “mmhmms” getting progressively lower in pitch as Billie says “I’m excited to age, for my face to age, for my body to age” has me absolutely dying

    6. Recent-Cow9146 on

I do not criticise Billie at all for saying this because you only know what you know. It is a little harder when the wrinkles actually start appearing. But also a reminder that every year is a gift!

    7. As tempting as it is to say rag on this because she’s currently young and beautiful (and I’ll happily admit it was my first instinct too) I do think it’s important to have people saying this aloud so that young people aren’t only ever hit with an absolute tidal wave of celebs having plastic surgery and it being so normal. I have nothing against getting procedures but it’s nice for young impressionable girls (boys too but it’s mostly women being bombarded with this message) to see that it’s not inevitable or your only option for ageing

Yeah, I said the same thing when I was 24 too. 20 years of litigating jury trials and one permanent resting bitch face later…

lol yuuuup I thought it was nuts the way “old” people just let them selves go, made that uuugghhh noise sitting and standing, looked so tired all the time and I was never going to be like them. I was going to be natural, healthy and stay fit! FF and I make those damn noises sitting/getting up and am so tired I daydream about getting back in bed with a bag of snacks and watching something. And if there was a pill to make this go away you bet your ass I’d take that shiz.

Well yes, “that’s easy to say when you’re 24” but you know what else is easy to say? “I’m not going to let myself go when I get older” So maybe she’s a bit naive but I think her heart is in the right place.

There is so much shit like this that I said to my mom when I was younger, and I could see her mentally logging it for later use. I am so glad I did not say it on the internet.

Unrelated to her her talking about aging, but I think this is the best she’s looked. Her hair colour is so so pretty on her. It really lets all her amazing features shine. Her makeup, the hair cut, the simple polo.

    13. Sigh. I’m 38 and sudden have a double chin in pics out of nowhere and I haven’t gained weight. I know there are way more serious problems out there but still it’s a bummer and yea I don’t think I will ever LOVE MY CHANGING FACE.

    14. Which-Attitude9916 on

Damn, yall could give her the benefit of the doubt instead of saying..nah uh, your only 24.
Almost 50. Said the same in my 20’s, saying the same going into my 50’s. Too much mar a lago face in this world. Love the skin you are in. If we all age naturally, then that will be the baseline and beauty standards will change,

    15. People are saying this is easy for a 24 year old but seem to forget that we have tons of twenty year olds out there freaking out about not looking 18. Or sixteen year olds talking about the best anti aging methods.
We have makeup and skincare products marketed at six year olds.
It’s an actual issue with young women right now. Having someone like Billie speak up like this is helpful and important

My beautiful mom died at 58. I welcome every grey hair and wrinkle. I want to be around. I want to grow old and change with my partner. It’s a blessing.

Edit she’d be 71 now btw. And why are there women in their 30’s talking about how old they look? If I’m still hot at 38 then surely you are too.

    17. Hey I’m 37 and feel the same way ♥️ it’s a privilege to celebrate the years behind us. Some don’t get that opportunity. It’s truly powerful for young women to be speaking about this, to role model that aging naturally, is very normal.

    18. goofus_andgallant on

I didn’t find this as naive as I thought I would when I watched it. I hope she’s able to hang on to this mindset. It’s harder once the changes actually start happening AND to have viable aging tied to character (“this is how you age when you’re non-toxic”) like some sort of personality flaw. But I really do hope we can love all versions of ourselves instead of always pining for the youngest model.

    19. As someone who has really wrestled with acne and other issues – I so get making cosmetic changes and those who have the access to do so have a blessing to just have the choice.

You say that until you’re only 31 and already facing degenerative disc disease 👹

    21. pervy_roomba on

Wait until the first time she sprains her foot because she turned wrong 😭

It’s not just about looks or aesthetics. It’s little things that remind you no matter how much you exercise and eat well, your body is fundamentally different from what it was in your teens and twenties.

There’s a fragility that starts creeping in on your thirties and every time it happens you remember there are certain things you can only delay but not undo. And that quasi invincible body you once took for granted is gone and will never come back.

I say this not to be a downer, but to encourage people who still have that quasi incincible body to *have as much fun as possible!* Do the thing! Be wild! Don’t put yourself in harms way obviously but use that energy while you still have it.

Don’t be excited about aging, be excited about where you are now, and enjoy it to your hearts content. Aging will come, give yourself some good memories so you don’t look back and say ‘I wish I had…’

    22. Humble_Marzipan_3258 on

Aging is different than skin sagging tbh. You can love aging, but not like that gravity makes your skin literally sag.

In my 20s I always thought I could age like those gorgeous aging ballet dancer types— willowy, stunning long grey hair, wrinkles in the “right” places, etc.

Turns out you don’t get to choose how you age, and I do not look like an aging ballet dancer. Also, there’s all the unseen issues of aging. I once tweaked my back with a weird sneeze.

    24. Alternative_Dark110 on

Why does this somehow make feel like there’s some kind of anti-aging shaming going on? Like, I’ll never look yassified./h Not posting cause I’m high but I often hit reply instead so completing the serve. Actually, pretty good high me. Don’t post

*any post about any woman celebrity who is beautiful*

“She’s had work done. They’ve all had it done.”

*any post about a female celebrity saying they want to age gracefully*

“Mmhmm. She’s going to have work done. They all have work done.”

*any post about a celebrity who is aging naturally*

“Yeah, sure. She’s had SOME work done. They’ve all had it done.”

    26. bongwaterbetch on

This is a great sentiment. Someone I love died young and every new gray hair I get I think of him. Aging is for the lucky.

    27. the_mighty__monarch on

That’s a wild thing to say while sporting a different nose than when she first got famous.
