The replacement of artists with AI was an inevitability. The problem is, you can only combine lines on a piece of paper so many different ways before you do it in every single way that's possible. We've already done it. AI might only be able to take from what already exists. But we aren't doing anything innovative with animation anymore, or art, in general. And because of that, AI already has the largest base from which to draw inspiration that can possibly exist. The same thing happened in every single industry of manufacturing when the Assembly line was created. When fabrication shops were created and again, also, when AI was created. This is the natural progression. And if you don't want AI "slop" you have to start drawing shit by hand again and people have to get the fuck off the internet. Also understand because AI exists, If you're charging ridiculous prices for your art, Most people are just going to go to AI. Because it is simple and it's able to give the person what it is that they are looking for, for cheaper.
She didn’t say anything when they were being treated poorly because they still had jobs. How many ppl working at Walmart and Amazon would rather be working at Disney being treated “poorly”. Now they have been fired, so yea….she’s speaking out.
If we had better governments we'd have regulations in place that would force companies to let consumers know when their products have been made with AI assistance. That way we could easily avoid AI slop.
