cause if they tell me no Scott you *will* be hearing from me

I mean they don’t say no when I ask for more shredded cheese but it gets to be awkward because they’re purposefully using such tiny proportions of cheese so I have to ask multiple times until I eventually give up.

he really thinks we’re all stupid

ask anyone who’s worked for them (especially in the last 5 years), they’ll tell you their managers are on their asses about how much food gets scooped bc those managers are getting told by corporate to be strict about it

They’re not gonna say no, they’ll just say it’ll be an extra charge. This is a farce.

What about the online orders that end up being end of day scraps?

  7. ChemicalNatural5506 on

i’ve found ordering online and going to pick it up they usually add more portions from my personal experience 🫣

Here’s the thing: they won’t tell you no, but they will just charge you for double meat 🥴

  9. This is going to create a headache for the poor employees who do the food

Don’t go to Chipotle. It sucks. Even if I lived somewhere with no other places that serve food like this, I’d make my own damn burrito bowl at home for less and it’ll taste 5 times better.

And their chips are *always* stale.

Yesterday I had Chipotle for the first time in years. It was awful. Everything was over-salted. Not seasoned, just salted to death. I ate it because I had paid for it and I had to eat something, but as my ankles and fingers swelled beyond recognition and my blood pressure headed to the sky, I swore off ever going back. Old school Chipotle was solid, but this was just terrible.

  12. Bro, last time I was in a chipotle their tortilla warmer didn’t work so I ordered a bowl, asked for a tortilla, which I said I would heat up at home… and they fucking charge me for a cold tortilla cause they’re stupid machine didn’t work… if they wouldn’t give me a $.10 burrito for something that’s their fault I highly doubt they’re gonna just give me extra scoops of whatever I want.

I asked for more and the worker looked over to where his manager was at, then gave me a little more. The manager immediately pulled him off the line and made him go do work in the back. Then I got glared at by the manager the rest of my visit.

Ofc they’re not gonna say no, they’re just gonna charge you more 🤣💸

He’s just setting his minimum wage workers to be yelled at by their managers for giving too much food because the managers will be yelled at by the district managers for not keeping their costs down.

And if the minimum wage worker doesn’t give more because they know they’ll be yelled at for giving too much they’ll be yelled at by their managers for not making the costumer happy

So glad I live in southern CA where there’s an abundance of amazing taco shops around me and I can avoid Chipotle and their garbage burritos.

Homie literally said last month that they can raise their prices to anything and people will still pay, because their customer base makes 100,000 a yr.

Most Chipotles I see is in or close the hood. 🤷🏻
This guy is a fucking clown. They feeling the heat from that statement, that’s why he’s doing this interview.

Looks like it’s time for Panchero, Qdoba, Barberitos and Baja Fresh to capitalize

I feel so bad for every line worker. Maybe the CEO should work in the trenches for a few months and see if he still likes it.

I haven’t been in a Subway in like 15 years. I stopped going because I had to constantly ask for “more” on the free toppings. They would literally just put on a “pinch”. I hated feeling like I was flogging the poor employee by asking for more on every topping because that was clearly how they were trained. Eventually, I just gave up. (Yes, I always tipped.) I know franchises are different in terms of cost management but from the customer perspective, it’s the same experience. **No one wants to have to watch their food like a hawk and advocate the whole way down the assembly line.**

  21. Why do you even have to ask? Why don’t they just give you a generous amount in the first place? This is the most ridiculous thing. So, now you have to ask for food you’re paying for, followed by a long awkward silent stare with the worker as they calculate if giving you the extra food will get them written up or not? Just stop being so damn cheap, Chipotle!

  22. itsthesheppy on

    I ask for less.

    This is not a joke.

Chipotle burritos are massive. How many calories do you all need? I’m not even in shape.

  23. reds_vista_cruiser on

Chipotle worker gave me literally like 4 small pieces of chicken on my salad. I asked for more because it was obviously not a full portion of chicken. They gave me more and then upcharged me for extra chicken.

  24. Spaghettiisgoddog on

Putting more pressure on the employees. There are obviously limits, and now employees have to play bad cop for every fucking order.

  25. donttouchme143 on

Reminds me of that comedian who says his brother is a chipotle sicko who knows a bunch of “hacks” to get more food lol

  26. LeStrikeRevolution on

I shouldn’t have to ask for more. What they put on those plates is so little and yet they jack up tjr price for a basic bowl. Fuck him.

  27. Junior_Big_1310 on

All jokes aside, this such a shitty thing to say publicly when you know your company tells staff not to give extra without charging extra. Staff in the stores are going to have to deal with angry individuals who reference this statement while facing consequences with their employer if they suddenly start going through more food for free. Hourly works will be forced to deal with the brunt of angry customers while he sits comfortably in his executive suite.
