Anne Hathaway is in her Devil Wears Prada fashion era. The actress has been rocking designer outfits – from a black-fringe Schiaparelli look in Mexico City to a cherry-red strapless Louis Vuitton gown in New York – all while promoting the film’s buzzy sequel alongside co-stars Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.Hathaway’s method dressing would, of course, have been incomplete without pulling from the archives of The Devil Wears Prada (2006). And she just launched her first book, The Art of Intentional Dressing, on May 5, to help readers discover their personal style.

Walsh celebrated the book’s launch at the Portrait Bar in the Fifth Avenue Hotel last week, with a star-studded guest list. Attendees included Walsh’s all-star clientele and friends, including Ariana DeBose, Stella McCartney, Prabal Gurung, and Hathaway herself. The actress contributed a back-cover blurb to the book, writing: “Erin Walsh, my soul-sister… has given you the tools to literally create your own experience of your day. … With Erin’s help, I have found a style that I feel has expanded to fit my life.”

Before Walsh fell into the world of fashion, she aspired to become an actress. She studied theatre at New York University in the mid-2000s but admitted in a recent interview with The Zoe Report (TZR) that she always worried about making it in Hollywood.

“I… well… I was not an actress. And I had to find something to do,” she said. Walsh had always had a love for fashion, and her classmates encouraged her to apply for internships at glossy magazines, she told TZR.
