The Mexican press is calling their visit a "historic phenomenon." Over 2.1 million people joined the digital queue for only 150,000 available tickets across three nights, which caused unlucky fans to attend from the sidewalk.
The "Arirang" world tour is on track to be one of the biggest global music events in history, with over 80 stadium dates across the Americas, Europe, and East Asia, with the Middle East and India expected for 2027. Financial analysts project the tour could generate up to $1.87 billion, putting the group on track to match Taylor Swift’s all-time grossing record in nearly half the number of dates.

Apparently 40,000 people without tickets outside the stadium last night, according to Mexican media.
I fear we’re never getting them back, Mexico about to close the border to keep them in.
hell yeah! Not a BTS fan, but I live in El Paso where they had their previous shows. I was in awe when their lightsticks were connecting from Mexico!!!
The crowd at the Palace while they met the president was INSANE. I LOVE MEXICANS 💗
I’m not a BTS fan but this is amazing that they have a community this big. They weren’t lying when they called themselves BTS Army 🫰🏻
Mexico ARMY energy is on another level! BTS could probably fill another stadium easily!
Mexico really deserves more show. I think they might come back next year for a tour extension?
Next level
Damn👏
I hope they consider doing more shows in Mexico.
They have a lot of fans there.
They also said hello to the fans from the presidential balcony with the president

This makes me soo emotional but also sad because Mexican ARMYS chose not to buy tickets from scalpers leaving seats empty just to stand their ground against scalping and I find that very admirable!! The demand as we can see was huge and there already were less dates (just 3) so scalpers snatching those tickets which remained empty just pinches more.
Context: clusters of tickets were taken by scalpers who then put them on 3rd party sites for exorbitant amounts of like $10k or something. So armys chose to boycott them, call them out.
PS: Apparently they also reported these scalpers and there is news of them being caught by the police at the concert where they were still trying to sell those scalped tickets last minute!!
Honestly hats off to Mexican ARMYS
The videos from the crowd outside look like just as much of a party as what was happening inside. Mexico is next level, but I do expect similar scenes when BTS visits Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
I’m loving how the top pop export isn’t necessarily going to be American or even Western anymore. When was the last time a US act attracted a crowd just to stand outside a stadium like this in another country? I know Taylor did it in the US.
Gotta keep the demons away
Truly amazed by the love Mexican ARMY has shown them 💜💜
Mexicans don’t play about Kpop tbh
That’s cool.
¡Guau! Qué increíble.
That is wild! I wonder if the sidewalk attendees brought lawn chairs and snacks or if it was one big SRO general admission dancing mosh pit.
Mind you.. they’ve been on a group hiatus for 4 years and haven’t dropped a full album in 6. Most kpop groups don’t even survive the military gap, let alone come back and outpeak their old selves..
Their reach is actually scary.
So how do so many people get into K pop if they’re not Korean anyway?
And I don’t just mean enjoying music in another language (I love Opera). I mean, like, how did they EXPLODE in popularity because if I even put on a movie that needs subtitles my friends will groan but if it’s K-pop they love it lol.
