    Angelina Jolie purchased 60,000 hectares (roughly 148,000 acres) of former, high-poaching hunting land in Cambodia’s Samlout region to transform it into a protected wildlife reserve, the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Foundation (MJP). She converted the area into a, sanctuary to protect endangered species like Asian elephants and black bears.
