Celebrity roast should just be regular people roasting celebrities to their face. That I might watch.
Tom having jokes written by someone else, who got the okay from Kevin’s people to have them used. Boom, roasted!

I hate roasts. I don’t even like these people, but the concept upsets me.
I just need to say that not all of this is scripted. While Tom’s may be, since he isn’t a comedian and has all of this likely pre-written by others who may have connected with Kevin’s team, I saw Shane Gillis last week and he was testing out material which was incredibly offensive and I can’t imagine anyone signing off. His jokes about Chelsea Handler and Epstein made it into the roast on Sunday. For the record I thought he largely killed it so by “offensive” I mean that more in an objective sense of “I would be pissed if someone said this about me” lol not that the jokes were bad
I miss when celebrity roasts were actually funny.
