James Charles APOLOGIZES For Calling Laid Off Spirit Employee ‘Lazy’ In Viral TikTok

James Charles is coming forward with an apology after he called a laid off Spirit Airlines employee a “lazy piece of s—t” in a now-viral TikTok. In the since-deleted May 8 post, the content creator read aloud, in a mocking tone, a DM he received from the former Spirit employee who shared a GoFundMe link with him, noting that “any donations help.” “I’m sure they do sweetheart, I’m sure they do. You know what else would help you? Getting another job. Yeah, try that!” he said. Charles went on to claim that in the time the woman took to send him a DM she could “have applied for 100 other jobs.” “But you didn’t. Cause you’re a lazy piece of s—t and you’re entitled,” he asserted. The makeup artist continued his over two-minute rant, sharing in part how “people lose their jobs every f—ing day.” “I’m going to do nothing. You know what you need to do? Go find a f—ing new one girl. Put some effort into the workplace. Urgh!” he said as he concluded the video. The content creator received backlash for his comments, leading him to swiftly take down the video and issue an apology. In his three-minute follow-up TikTok, Charles called his original video “f—ing stupid.” “It was rude. It was obnoxious. It was privileged and most important it was completely f—ing unnecessary,” he said in part, adding, “I shamed her for asking for help in a situation when she was clearly really struggling and this could have been her absolute last resort.”
