‘Heated Rivalry’ lookalike contest winners, musical parody stars get quizzed on show | Show The Shot

The worlds of “Heated Rivalry” have officially collided. Jay Armstrong Johnson and Jimin Moon, who are stepping into the roles of Ilya and Shane in “Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody,” finally met Felix Eller and Aram Matagi, the viral winners of the D.C. Heated Rivalry lookalike contest that took over the internet last month. The four teamed up for a special “Show the Shot or Take the Shot” crossover, battling it out over “Heated Rivalry” trivia, hockey knowledge, Connor and Hudson lore, and more; with the losers exposing things from their phones and taking tangy ginger (not ale) shots. Between rehearsal secrets, thirst traps, chaotic rankings, and deep-cut fandom references, the chemistry between these four felt straight out of the cottage. Watch the full video for off-stage shenanigans, viral lookalike antics, and enough tension to deserve its own hotel room scene.

“Heated Rivalry: The Unauthorized Musical Parody” begins previews May 12 in New York City for an 8-week Off-Broadway run.

    1. Felix trying to hold his competitive nature back, he wants to give sweet boy energy but he just comes across as a competent man. They are such a cute couple together ❤️

    2. Wouldn’t it be the most awesome thing in the world if one night in the middle of the parody musical 🎶 if Connor and Hudson just walked on stage 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

    3. The way they seemed to all immediately vibe and become friends. Is there something in the water where if you match up Connor and Hudson types they just get on great? The power of Hudcon’s friendship is working overtime in all the parallel universes.
