For almost two decades, Leadership Prince William has helped shape some of the region’s most engaged and connected leaders. Applications are now officially open for the Class of 2027 Signature Program, offering another opportunity for professionals across the community to deepen their understanding of Prince William County while building lasting relationships with fellow leaders.

With a network now more than 700 graduates strong, the Signature Program has become known for helping participants strengthen leadership skills, broaden community awareness, and create meaningful cross-sector connections that often continue long after graduation.

The 10-month program begins in September 2026 with an overnight retreat at Skyland Resort and continues through June 2027 with immersive monthly sessions held throughout the Prince William area. Each session focuses on a different aspect of the community, including public safety, economic development, arts, education, health, and government.

According to Leadership Prince William, the experience is designed to help participants “explore our community, increase awareness of critical issues, and connect with other community leaders.”

For many graduates, the program becomes more than professional development. It becomes a long-term network of relationships that strengthens both careers and community involvement.

The organization describes the scholarship program as an opportunity for graduates to “pay forward” their investment in the community’s future by helping reduce financial barriers for new participants.

Encouraging the Next Generation of Leaders

Community members are encouraged to think about colleagues, friends, nonprofit leaders, business professionals, and emerging leaders who may benefit from the program.

“Each of us has someone on our contact list already serving our community and would benefit greatly from this program,” the organization shared. “Be a great friend and encourage them to look into Leadership Prince William.”

Applications for the Class of 2027 are due by June 1, 2026.
