Eurovision Interrupted as Security Removes Pro-Palestinian Protester

Security staff removed a pro-Palestinian protester at the Eurovision semi-final in Vienna on Tuesday, May 12. Footage shows the protester, who has the phrase “FREE PALESTINE” written on his back, chanting “Free Palestine” and “No escape from genocide” while being surrounded by security. Meanwhile, pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside in Vienna on the same day to rally against Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest.
