By Rebecca Barnes, Publisher, Prince William Living

Nikki Moore has been nominated for the 2026 Prince William Living Influential Women Awards for her unwavering commitment to service, domestic violence advocacy, and nonprofit leadership across Greater Prince William.

Through her nonprofit, Heavenly Helping Hands, Nikki has consistently stepped in where help is needed most. Her work includes organizing school supply drives, holiday food and toy distributions, and outreach efforts supporting families experiencing hardship, homeless women, and the children of wounded warriors. One Christmas toy drive alone served more than 100 children and received regional media coverage for its reach and impact.

Nikki’s service has also received national recognition. She was awarded the Outstanding Community Service Award by Barack Obama, honoring her work that went above and beyond to support families in need. The award specifically recognized her commitment to helping wounded soldiers and ensuring their children received bikes and holiday support during a difficult season for military families.

At the heart of Nikki’s nomination is her willingness to share her own story to help others heal. “She uses her stories, her testimonies, to inspire, uplift, and encourage others who are going through domestic abuse,” her nominator shared. By speaking openly about her lived experience, Nikki offers hope and reassurance to individuals navigating similar circumstances, reminding them that survival and renewal are possible.

In addition to her nonprofit work, Nikki mentors youth through academic-focused sports programs, reinforcing the importance of education, discipline, and perseverance. She is also the author of eight books, each rooted in personal experience and written to encourage readers facing adversity, trauma, or uncertainty.

Nikki Moore is being nominated for turning hardship into purpose and for consistently showing up for her community with compassion, faith, and action. Her leadership reflects the spirit of service at the heart of the Influential Women Awards.
