Wait it’s the original glove too? So you’re telling me he’s wearing a glove that probably *literally* touched kids…?

Society has really allowed the worst to be celebrated. Not even hate listening to this slop.

It’s so funny how he feels wronged by LeBron and swapped him out for a Canadian basketball player to show how much he values his roots, but since MJ is dead and he can’t be disavowed by him, Drake hasn’t been forced to drop his association with him and apparently hasn’t realized the irony of being a supposed ’proud Canadian’ yet basing his entire existence on an American

This actually makes sense. In a post-Weinstein, post-Diddy, post-Epstein world, it boggles my mind that a MJ biopic was not only a possibility, but a big success. His massive fan base is full of lunatics that will go to extreme lengths to position him as a wrongfully accused victim. Drake is trying to get in on that.

I’m not sure why people are surprised this is literally on brand for him

I feel like I’ve seen “Michael Jackson’s original sequin glove” on display in at least two different museum settings and now on Drake. I assume there were multiple of the same glove for wardrobe backup? Or does the glove travel? Borrowed? Replicas? How many are there?

People who get “cancelled” tend to lean into it and cater to the audience who likes people who get “cancelled”. Especially men. The MJ audience is still there with money to spend, 100% intentional and pandering

    9. Pitchfork also gave a new Drake track “best new music”; wonder if that will be posted here

drake got absolutely torched in the beef and now is like “yeah, you were right about everything” lol

but it won’t really matter because his fans are basically like kanye fans now

It feels weird to refer to Kendrick Lamar as “Lamar”. He should be referred to as Kendrick or Kendrick Lamar only

    12. never forget drake being gross with Millie Bobby Brown when she was 14 and he was 31. Literally, if the glove fits…(I’m old and all I can think of is oj)

It’s also identity appropriation of the dead, if that’s a term. He reportedly bought one of Tupac’s rings after his death and did a song with AI Tupac, and now for whatever reason he’s doing the same with MJ’s glove.

You can call it a tribute and maybe it is. It just doesn’t *seem* like it is to me. It *seems* like he’s trying to associate himself with legends who don’t have a choice whether or not they want to be associated with him. MJ is an… interesting choice though.

I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t an Elvis feature on the new album(s)

    14. While Drake deserves full criticism, just a reminder that Kendrick closed out TPAB with a song that included lines defending Michael Jackson against the allegations.

      They’re both MJ stans.

He’s so opportunistic i bet he didn’t even think of that. He just wanted to ride the coattails of the film’s promotional cycle. Loser parasitic behaviour as always
