Scarlett Johansson missed the Cannes premiere of “Paper Tiger,” so director James Gray tried to FaceTime her during the film’s standing ovation. She didn’t answer.

These standing ovation longer than a minute are so incredibly bizarre and awkward.

I mean what time was it where they are and what time zone was she in when he called because 2pm in France is like 5 am in LA

James Gray is a fucking loser so if I was Scarlett Johansson I’d ignore him regardless of how good the movie was

A crowd giving a standing ovation for a movie while the actors and director is in the audience

      I’m shocked

    5. If she were available, she would have attended. They set themselves up with that cringe Facetime moment

Why do people keep making these massively public calls? I mean I understand not picking up to JD for any reason but maybe try to make the phone call a bit more surreptitiously to see if they even pick up first

    7. These standing ovations need to stop, like the longest these should last is 1-2 minutes 😂

    8. No millennial is going to answer that sort of call from a boomer unless it’s a parent. There are no exceptions to this rule.

    9. Hollywood unscripted. These assholes force randos to clap forever, it’s just a joke. And them being caught in an awkward moment while a woman doesn’t answer their call is hilarious.
