Here is a red carpet roundup from Saturday’s El Ser Querido (The Beloved) premiere, where texture, sculptural silhouettes, and high-glamour styling dominated the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.

    Cold Glamour

Natasha Poly delivered one of the strongest looks of the night wearing this Ferragamo Fall 2026 gown, where the dense smock pleating and plunging sheer bodice created a striking contrast between sensuality and severity. There is something hypnotic about the silhouette, which almost feels inspired by Tamara de Lempicka paintings, all elongated lines, cold glamour, and women entirely in control. Swarovski-accented Ferragamo pumps completed the look. Natasha sold every inch of this with the kind of presence only a true supermodel can.

The Feathers Did All The Talking

Vicky Luengo opted for custom Loewe, delivering a lesson in how simplicity can still create impact. The clean column silhouette could have easily faded into the background, but the dramatic feathered neckline, cut-outs and open back elevated the mood.

    Miu Miu Revival

Tess Barthélemy brought a softer energy to the premiere in Miu Miu. The pale pink satin gown with crystal embellishment around the neckline leaned into that youthful, romantic aesthetic the brand does so well. I haven’t liked the last few Miu Miu outings at this festival, but this is more like it.

    Blue Satin Spectacle

Araya A. Hargate ensured there was no missing her in this vivid blue Tamara Ralph Fall 2024 Couture gown. The sculpted off-the-shoulder neckline and saturated satin fabrication gave the look enormous presence before you even noticed the dramatic train. Araya knows exactly how to sell a couture moment, and the diamond choker and oversized floral brooch only amplified the effect.

    Velvet In Chocolate Brown

Marina Foïs stood out in a custom Louis Vuitton chocolate-brown velvet gown that immediately caught my attention because of the sculptural shoulder detail. Velvet is not usually a fabric I associate with a Cannes red carpet, and we have seen a lot of it this year, but I was sold by both the colour and the architectural detailing, which gave this a sharper identity. Louis Vuitton High Jewelry from the Mythica Collection completed the look.

    Cannes Meets Bridal Glamour

Romee Strijd wore Caroline’s Couture, arriving in a white embellished gown that immediately gave bridal energy. This was really underwhelming for me, but at least it was not black or velvet.

Constance Jablonski wore Maison Margiela to the El Ser Querido Cannes premiere during Cannes Film Festival.

    Maison Margiela’s Disc Experiment

Speaking of velvet, Constance Jablonski wore Maison Margiela in a look that played with transparency and texture through oversized circular embellishments layered over velvet.
