Empathy is one of the biggest strengths you can have, it is not a weakness.
Empathy can cause us pain and make us uncomfortable, but the understanding and solidarity it brings is so worth it.
We need an empathetic revolution in this country.
Too many people are too angry, and for good reason. But we need empathy for the weakest of us, the underserved, yet we should have none for those who have accumulated wealth at their expense.
I was honored to hear him speak at my graduation ceremony about his struggles overcoming learning disabilities and I still think about his story all the time, all these years later. He’s a wonderful human being.
So much better than any of those bullshit graduation speeches praising AI.
One thing about tenured celebrities, they’ve met A LOT of people, in all walks of life, and all over the world. Sometimes, they really are worth listening to.
