Nice drive❤
Great
She didn't "pass away" she was terminated!
Toured her Helena Drive home during a realtor's open house. Glad I saw it then, the mega-mansion neighbors didn't exist then! Monroe's house is a charming Spanish built in 1929, on reputedly the largest lot in the Helena's. (There are 25 streets named Helena Drive in Brentwood!) At the end of a short cul-de-sac the lot slopes down at the back offering extreme privacy; it's like a private park, with no over-the-fence backyard neighbors. A while back a next door neighbor bought the place & being a billionaire's daughter (new money, for sure) wanted to tear it down! After a back & forth tussel, the City of LA finally declared it a cultural historic monument preventing it from ever being torn down. Aside from being Monroe's last & only home ever purchased, it really is worth saving just on it's beauty alone. As a '70s teen, saw this & fell more than a little in love:
