This week, celebrity beauty was all about bangs, bixies, and skin-first makeup. While it’s the season to try something new with your hair, makeup was left bare for the skin to breathe. It’s the height of spring, after all.
For one, Olandria attended the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue launch party in her signature rosy cheeks and this week’s biggest trend: a curtain bang. The hairstyle was seconded by Kerry Washington, who paired hers with a bob and bright red manicure. Otherwise, small curls on Zendaya’s forehead and Sabrina Elba’s little flips, were must-try bang styles for pixie cuts.
While bangs, bobs, and pixies were trending for hair, lightweight makeup defined spring. Chase Infiniti, for example, wore skin so natural you could still see her freckles. She, like Tessa Thompson, required nothing but a smoky wing and minimal lip. However, Kelela—in her new “linkinb” music video—went for stark blonde brows (to match her round cut), a vamp lip, and one single lower lash extension per eye.
