If AI takes all our jobs what are every day people going to do? Starve on the streets? This needs to be nipped in the bud now.

Wish I shared her optimism. I feel like we’re on a run away train heading into station packed with billions of people.

There will be some sort of technology rebellion in this lifetime. THAT is inevitable.

MOTHER MY MOTHER. A queen for the people, generational talent and a real hashtag cool girl. If only Hollywood platformed more amazing people like Tati instead of the human-slop that populates its cesspits.

The push by every tech company to make you use AI for everything is so clearly inorganic. It’s a scam to justify building more data centers, pushed by the fossil fuel industry.
Woman who was scanned and cloned multiple times speaks out against such efforts.
But for real, I love her so much and she is right.

AI hate is so forced 🥱
I just imagine people loathing the spinning jenny for depriving those poor women from good old back-breaking, hyper-monotonous labour.
Something, something – fast fashion… Oh the irony besets me.

This point needs to be hammered more often and im so glad but not at all surprised that our Seestra gets it. We make the world we want to see. AI is not some kind of metaphysical force coming down from the sky. We can either succumb to it, or we can rise up over it.

I’m being essentially forced to adopt AI into everything I do as a technical writer and it makes me feel so ick. So seeing so many creatives stand up against it makes me feel less crazy

Unfortunately the rank and file of most “white collar” jobs have been affected already. And to her vocation, the visual arts, every part of it, from the writers to actors to even the physical laborers will be greatly impacted because the finished product is will be commoditized due to AI replacing all of it.

She’s absolutely right. “It’s here” and “It’s inevitable” are MARKETING. We are in charge of whether this tech gets used. So if you want to keep AI from taking jobs and taking the arts/politics/the Internet/culture == don’t use it. And tell others to do the same.

Yup.
The tactic for the ai bro class is to get mad that real people aren’t embracing it, because they assumed we would care about their ROI.
