The Actress and Entrepreneur Lists Her Encino Estate
Selena Gomez, the actress, singer and founder of the Rare Beauty makeup brand, has listed the home that became well-known as the setting for her HBO cooking series “Selena + Chef,” which came out in August 2020. The six-bedroom, approximately 11,400-square-foot home in Encino has been listed for $6.5 million, which the listing calls, “priced to sell.”
Ms. Gomez bought the house in early 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when she was still single. In December 2024, Ms. Gomez bought a $35 million estate in Beverly Hills with her then fiancé, the songwriter and producer Benny Blanco — they got married in September 2025.
The home sits at the end of a gated driveway in Encino, an affluent Los Angeles suburb in the San Fernando Valley. Built in 1989, the house was the former residence of the musician Tom Petty; it has exposed vaulted ceilings, generous skylights, and it includes a wine cellar, gym, movie theater, massage room, beauty salon and a music room. Outside, there is a cabana, fire pit, outdoor dining area and a pool with a waterfall feature.
The home is listed by Branden and Rayni Williams of the Beverly Hills Estate.
A Fashionable Fire Island Home
The fashion designer Michael Kors and his husband, Lance Le Pere, are selling their sleek beach house on Water Island, a secluded Fire Island hamlet, for $6.25 million. The five-bedroom home sits on a quarter-acre lot with 200 feet of ocean frontage on the Fire Island National Seashore.
Built in 2014, the property has a generous 2,100-square-foot main house with a private primary bedroom suite on the first floor and sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean. The second structure on the property, a 1,500-square-foot guesthouse, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms and is connected to the main house by a stone path through the dunes.
The compound includes a pool, outdoor kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows and cathedral ceilings. If the house sells for the asking price it would the most expensive sale on Fire Island, according to Jonathan J. Miller, the president of Miller Samuel Real Estate Appraisers & Consultants.

J.Lo’s Beverly Hills Estate Gets Another Price Reduction
Jennifer Lopez has relisted her Beverly Hills mansion for $49.96 million. The home she briefly lived in with her ex-husband Ben Affleck was initially listed for $75 million in June 2024, then $68 million a month later. Almost a year later, the price had dropped to $60 million, then it dropped again to $52 million last September before the current listing price. In April, Ben Affleck gave the singer his part of their shared home, which the couple bought together for $60.9 million in May 2023, court documents confirmed.
The 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom compound sits on a large five-acre lot in a gated enclave in Beverly Hills and occupies about 38,000 square feet. The home includes guesthouse and a 12-car garage, and can accommodate parking for up to 80 vehicles.

Debra Messing’s Full Floor on the Upper East Side
Debra Messing, the actor who is best known for her role on the television show “Will & Grace,” has listed her eighth-floor Manhattan apartment for $6.5 million. She bought the apartment in 2014 for $5.5 million and has spent about $2 million on renovations over the years — including after her apartment was damaged by a fire next door — according to a representative for Ms. Messing.
The co-op apartment occupies the entire eighth floor of a nine-story building built in 1928. A similarly sized unit on the third floor recently sold for $5.7 million. Ms. Messing’s four-bedroom, four-bathroom apartment has a chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry, a staff room, library and private elevator.
The home is listed by Cathy Franklin and Alexis Bodenheimer at the Corcoran Group.
Sergey Brin’s Summer Rental in Malibu
A lush Malibu estate, which used to be shared by Google founder Sergey Brin and his former wife, Nicole Shanahan, has been listed for rent. The listing is asking $175,000 per month for the summer and $125,000 per month for long-term rentals. The couple bought the home in 2020 for $13.5 million; in 2023, Mr. Brin and Ms. Shanahan finalized their divorce.
The 5,200-square-foot home has private access to Little Dume, a secluded stretch of beach on Malibu’s Point Dume. The five-bedroom, eight-bathroom house is being offered fully furnished and it includes two kitchens, an office, gym, media room, yoga studio, pool and cabana.
