#haydenpanettiere reacts to mother condemning her new book

Hayden Panettiere is reacting to her mother’s scathing statement about her upcoming tell-all book, calling it “so false.”

Lesley Vogel, Hayden’s estranged mother and former manager, said in a lengthy statement that she believes Hayden’s “present drama is partially to sell books” and claimed she went no-contact with her daughter after “20 years of trauma,” accusing Hayden of having a “personality ‘style’ which manifests as a need for control, entitlement and a lack of empathy.”

Sitting down with ET, Hayden responded to that statement, saying it’s “so false.” The 36-year-old actress says she always wants to leave the door open to rebuild a relationship with her mother, but “she slammed that door pretty hard in my face.”

Hayden explores her life as childhood star, working with her mother and more in her memoir ‘This Is Me: A Reckoning,’ out May 19

    1. This woman was so beautiful when she first stepped on the scene as a child and young lady. Her mom knocked the sunshine out of her face. I hope she regains it. She is very talented.

    2. I'm so sad for Hayden, Her mother should have shown love for her daughter.. Talk behind the scenes and get this straightened out. AS a family you can work this out.

    3. Im sorry. But Hayden slamed the door on her daughter to have a mom. Just like her mom did. She is horrible. She is legitimately ruining scream with even the thought of her return. Thank goodness she didnt come out on part 7. Hate her. Sorry guys.

    4. Hayden – some advice from someone who has a toxic mother – forgive – doesn’t necessarily mean you have to have a relationship – but don’t be consumed by anger about it , it will ruin your life your mind your body through stress . Forgive her for being weak and focus on being a mother yourself and having faith in a higher power. That’s Jesus btw.
