I’m happy that this dude is our new He-man. Seems like a real genuine bloke.
Honest, affable, and playing down much of the time, effort and self discipline it took to transform his usual svelte self into the serious hunk that is He-Man. Bear in mind this is an actor who was set for a career as a professional sportsman until injury made him an actor instead; and it is probably only having that training background that led him to take a role most actors would consider too much of a mental and physical challenge.
The film after Masters Of The Universe he mentions in which he plays a real life WW2 marine and US football legend is The Mosquito Bowl, based on Buzz Bissinger's best selling book. Notice he almost says 'hero' but being a naturally self effacing sort of chap amends that to say 'soldier' instead. The soldier being John Jackson McLaughry.
