A competitive rivalry has broken out between Baywatch reboot stars Brooks Nader and Livvy Dunne over who would fill the iconic “Pamela Anderson” lane.
Production insiders report “tension” between the two stars and recurring conversations around who will be the next Pamela Anderson.
Is a Baywatch rivalry brewing between Brooks Nader and Livvy Dunne?
Brooks appears to have an advantage in terms of onscreen presence, as she plays the role of lifeguard captain Selene, who appears in every episode of the reboot of the 90s iconic show. Compared to Dunne’s appearance in just three episodes, this seems to give her an edge.
However, things might not be that simple since gymnast-turned-influencer Dunne, playing junior lifeguard Grace, commands massive onscreen influence through her army of followers, which has not gone unnoticed during filming.
The rivalry is reportedly producing real “tension” between the two actresses as they can be heard openly discussing their thoughts on who gets to carry Anderson’s legacy, and therefore mimic her fame and fortune.
Their on-set friction continues to heat up beyond the sizzling online scenes as both actresses look to secure their spot as the erstwhile blonde bombshell fixture Pamela Anderson.
The rumored friction reportedly spilled over to real life at a shoot for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit carpet event, where Brooks appeared hyper-focused on how Livvy was being portrayed by the media. She was reportedly seen making camera suggestions that would capture her best angles of Dunne as the stars posed together.
The original Baywatch achieved staggering popularity, reaching over one billion weekly viewers at its peak. Pamela Anderson’s character, C.J. Parker, served as the definitive red swimsuit-clad face of 90s pop culture.
It is, therefore, not surprising that the reboot is already much-anticipated and the leading ladies are busy securing their spot in the limelight.
