WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WMTV) – Local golfers and celebrities are hitting the links Wednesday to support Tellurian and its mission.
The 29th Annual Tellurian Celebrity Golf Tournament took place at Trappers Turn Golf Club in the Wisconsin Dells.
“I don’t know of a family that hasn’t been touched by mental health issues,” Tellurian CEO Kevin Florek said. “Tellurian serves over 5,000 people who are suffering and a lot of the folks we see are uninsured so they don’t have the money to get the help we need so we do events like this to help fund folks in our community that desperately need our care.”
The event featured celebrities such as Brett Favre, Frank Caliendo, Gilbert Brown, Frank Winters, Dorsey Levens and Santana Dotson.
Tellurian helps those struggling with addiction, mental health and homelessness.
“We always need help, we need volunteers and there are so many people that need our help,” Florek said. “Government keeps cutting our funding and we just continue to try and fight.”
