EXCLUSIVE: Kyle Gallner is joining Oscar winner Brie Larson in Sony Pictures’ Skeletons. JT Mollner is directing the film, which J.J. Abrams is producing.
Skeletons is a modern take on the creature horror film told from the perspective of a young boy who slowly begins to discover that his beloved parents are hiding a disturbing secret about his mother’s true nature. Brian Duffield wrote the screenplay based on a short story by Philip Fracassi, with script revisions by Mollner.

The movie comes from FilmNation Entertainment’s production label Infrared, Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Assemble Media. Drew Simon, Abrams, Jon Cohen and Jack Heller are producers. Assemble’s Caitlin de Lisser-Ellen and Duffield are executive producing, as is Larson and Fracassi. Infrared is financing.
Skeletons reunites Gallner with Mollner following Gallner’s acclaimed performance in Strange Darling. Other credits include Carolina Caroline, Smile and Smile 2, The Passenger, and Dinner In America.
