      I don’t know how big NASCAR is around the US or world, but it’s huge in the south, and that is pretty big, even from someone like me that knows nothing about racing.

      I grew up in a family that watched a lot of NASCAR. I remember watching with my Grandma when Kyle was starting out. This is just so sad for his family, especially his wife and children.

      I married into a NASCAR family so I’ve learned a lot about racing in the last decade plus. I didn’t care for Kyle as a driver, he was whiny and always passed the buck on a bad race.

      That being said, he was devoted to his wife and children. He and Samantha also did a lot to help other couples dealing with fertility issues as the two of them recognized their financial privileges in that. I am very sorry for Samantha and their kids, as well as the rest if the family.

      Met him at a honky tonk before the Austin race this past February. So incredibly shocking. Doesn’t help I just buried a friend less than two weeks ago at 36 who died suddenly. Hug your loved ones!

      For anyone wondering just how shocking and sudden this is, he just won a NASCAR truck series race 5 days ago. He even says in his [interview](https://youtu.be/5vT9G8wv2mw?si=Zp7a-67VGZCdNm3f) that you have to cherish every win as you don’t know if it’s going to be your last.

      Growing up in the south, NASCAR is huge for middle and lower class families because it’s one of the few sports that had affordable tickets. So I became a huge motorsports fan and there were very few bigger stars in NASCAR than KB. I watched this guy basically win a race every weekend for my entire childhood. Won over 200 races in NASCAR’s top 3 series, won 2 championships, and had countless more accomplishments. Literally one of the greatest talents to ever step foot in a racecar across any series. He broke his leg in a crash at Daytona in 2015 and came back 11 weeks later to win 5 races and win the championship. Guy could do things in a car that very few could do. One of the greatest villains in the history of sports, had so many great rivalries and gave so many funny interviews over the years. I’m happy that he spent the last 5 or so years of his career as a fan favorite. He’s dedicated the last couple years of his life helping his son get into racing and wanted him to do it the right and respectful way. I can’t imagine what his wife and family are going through. I can’t wrap my head around him passing and am so shocked. Feel so bad for him and his family that he didn’t get more time. This is huge for the motorsports community, he was a big deal. Spent basically my entire youth playing with diecasts of his racecars. Sorry for rambling, just wanted the unaware to know just how badass he was. I recommend ever to look him up or at least watch the videos attached to see how great he was.
