I like when rich people use their money for good causes, and I appreciate Billie’s commitment to doing good.

I’m not famous or rich, but every day, I try to do something nice for someone else. The world would be a better place if we all did more of that.

Some more details would be welcomed.

I’m assuming (correct me if I’m wrong) this was part the 11.5 million donation that was done through “changemaker tickets” where people paid extra charge for some tickets and the difference was donated. I appreciate the people who bought them and funded this donation (though i wish Billie would match their donation with her own from her own money)

Its nice that vegan meals were donated 👍🏻, so much better for the planet and the animals

Interesting that all that funding went to her family’s nonprofit organization, and the article I found didn’t mention how the meals were actually distributed those in need nor did it specify how that 7.7 million figure was allocated. Would be interesting to look at their form 990s!

    4. Vegan meals are great for the planet and usually healthy for most people. I get it. But if you’re only getting one, maybe two good meals a day, you wanna have some animal protein and fat. It’s so much more calorie dense, which is important for someone who is homeless and really doesn’t know where their next meal is coming from.
