      Anyone who watched the Netflix doc knew she would be the first to leave the group.

      There’s a lot of internet discourse about this but the fact is this is better for all parties involved.

      The 5 girls in Katseye want to be in Katseye. Manon gets to have her own individual path and career.

      I don’t know why they’re dragging this out so long and whether it’s a contractual issue or whatever they are doing, but clearly they have the tour on sale with five members and she didn’t perform a Coachella and the hiatus thing was months ago and there have been no official updates.

      This seems as close to confirmation as it gets at this point, but like just let them have their own paths. It’s clear she’s not going on tour with them. They’re not going to redo all the tour materials and have her just say yeah I’m back. Let her just do her thing.

      i have no horse in this race, but as a black girl myself i genuinely don’t think manon was treated unfairly because of her race. tbh i dont think she was treated unfairly at all. she was prioritized over the other girls, and the other members complained about it a lot and nothing really changed. there’s videos of them rehearsing and she’s just not there, and when she was there she was clearly leaps and bounds behind the rest of the group.

      this is a clip of her blatantly saying she doesn’t think she has to try as hard because she has “star quality” while Megan (a current member) complains about her not showing up whenever she feels like it.

      and in this clip, she’s clearly messing up despite all the other members knowing the choreography.

      Honestly hope Manon doesnt return for her own benefit. The amount of racism and vitrol she has faced from “fans” during her time in the group aint worth it. Doesnt help when some of the members parents are being lil assholes towards her. Or the gossip of Megan/Lara spikling her tea to podcasters.

      Hope she finds success in whatever she fi ds next.

      What even is this and what makes it a valid source? There have been official news sources that keep changing their words when it came to of she was going to Coachella or not. What makes this so trustworthy?

      They have since updated it to say “other” rather than “past”.

      Tbh, Manon always came across as less invested in the group compared to the other members. Once she started missing multiple videos/content appearances, it kinda felt inevitable that HYBE would eventually remove her permanently — I just didn’t expect it to happen this quickly.

      I like Katseye and Manon, and I’ll still like Katseye without Manon but GOD the way HxG have acted around this whole thing is so offputting.

      Stan Twitter has to be on another level of delusion because I dabbled in the drama out of curiosity and there were tweets w/ thousands of likes proclaiming she’s the Beyoncé of the group and how the group was surely to flop w/ her.

      Yet their tour, for what I hear, has been pretty much sold out across the board.

      And the Beyoncé claim? Manon seems extremely lovely and yeah, that face card is generational, but let’s be real… she’s hardly the best dancer or singer in the group. She’s not even the one with the biggest solo fandom cause Filipino fans don’t play about Sophia and Yoonchae’s stuff is always the first to sell out when it comes to individual members merchandise.

      I just feel like at this point, Twitter is a terrible judge of what’s popular or not. Having stan Twitter praying for you to flop at this point seems to be a sure way to actually find success these days.

      Genuinely curious: was there any actual reason for them dragging this out so long? As in maybe they were trying to reach some resolution privately so she could come back? Or was it pretty clear from the get go that there was no returning?

      Otherwise i genuinely do not understand why this has lasted so long.
