I’m not surprised, I’ve seen barely any buzz online about it at all and literally nobody in real life I’ve met has talked about it. Nobody seem to care at all.

    2. I’ve been rewatching the first season.  I’ll catch a showing on discount movie day next week.

I’ve been trying to pump up my 6 year old about going to see this! I’ve failed and he don’t give a shit. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

I will go see it at some point but I feel really disconnected from the story at this point. I might even wait for Disney+.

Nobody cares. Cool characters but the production, like many others these days is smug and pretentious. Sure I could say it insists upon itself but would get excoriated. But it’s undeniable this underperformed and the reasons are the same everywhere: media is now made as “content” to get attention, not to entertain for the love of the craft or provide meaning in people’s lives. It’s not created to GIVE something to YOU, it’s created to take something FROM YOU for THEM to have. It is crafted solely to capture your ATTENTION so they can score high on their Engagement KPIs in their data set. And it doesn’t have to entertain to do that. Entertainment is too much effort. It just needs your attention.

I don’t care. I don’t get out to the movies much, my last movie was Godzilla. I god dammed loved being entertained by ol’ mandolin and his green tiny charge. I got my money’s worth.

I thought the value of this brand has been stripped out long ago. This is what happens when you turn value into volume.

Kennedy’s last “fuck you” to the franchise was forcing this into a movie.

Disney has simply run Star Wars and Marvel to the ground. Everyone is tired of those franchises at this point.

The quantity over quality approach has caught up with them.

I’m sure that’s just because nobody cares enough to go out when they can just stream it in like a month anyway

    11. The hype from the show has faded, they botched the timing imo, and no one knows why/how it’s connected or anything. I’ll likely watch it but they timed this horribly

    12. How? It’s got ”Star Wars”, it’s got “Mandalorian”, it’s got “Grogu”, it’s got all those separate buzzwords that open the wallets of idiots everywhere! How?

I’m so sick of Andor being brought up in every single Star Wars conversation. Great character, great show.

But it’s starting to seem like the people that only love Andor aren’t actual Star Wars fans. Go back and rewatch the original trilogy or the Clone wars and compare it to Andor

Its been 3 years(!) after the Mandalorian 3rd season aired & 3rd season being the LEAST liked among the fans. And when everyone already forgotten about Mandalorian “the great minds of Disney” thought it was a good idea to release a quick cash grab movie…….

Rogue One & Andor were the best 2 things which came from the Star Wars Disney era & unfortunately nothing is done with the momentum of Andors final season 2 in 2025.

Disney managed to alienate the vast majority of its original fan base for both Star Wars & Marvel and it most certainly it looks like “new audiences” could not fill in that huge gap of lost revenue…….
