Jack Antonoff proved once again that he is one of Taylor Swift’s most trusted confidants after skillfully avoiding questions about the singer’s rumored wedding plans with Travis Kelce during a live television appearance.

Antonoff, who has worked alongside Swift on multiple Grammy-winning albums and is considered one of her closest friends in the music industry, appeared on Today on Friday to discuss his latest projects.

But the conversation quickly shifted toward the topic dominating celebrity headlines: Swift and Kelce’s highly anticipated wedding.

Host Craig Melvin attempted several times to get Antonoff to reveal whether he would be attending the rumored summer ceremony.

However, the producer expertly sidestepped every attempt while turning the interview into a lighthearted exchange that quickly went viral online.

“Are you going to any weddings this summer?” Melvin asked.

Rather than answer directly, Antonoff immediately flipped the conversation back on the host.

“Uh, are you married?” he replied.

Melvin laughed before confirming he had been happily married for 15 years.

“Oh, great, how’s that going? Is that going to stick?” Antonoff joked while laughing.

The playful deflection only encouraged Melvin to push further. Trying once again to pry information from the producer, he asked whether Antonoff planned on attending “any big weddings” this year.

Jack continued refusing to take the bait.

“Uh, I hope. I hope so, man,” he answered before mumbling random sounds and laughing again.

The producer then leaned even harder into humor.

“Yeah, I love being married. I’m happy. Did we just have a moment?” he said.

Melvin responded: “We just had a moment.”

The exchange quickly spread across social media, with fans praising Antonoff for remaining loyal to Swift and refusing to discuss her personal life publicly.

“This was sooo funny!! I love @craigmelvinnbc,” one fan commented online.

Another viewer wrote: “Why is Craig always the one gossiping?? Haha.”

    Others applauded Antonoff’s quick thinking.

“Good for Jack with the quick pivot,” another fan posted.

One user defended the producer’s refusal to reveal details, writing: “Of course he’s going. Now quit asking people and let them be. How uncomfortable that must be to get asked about the one thing people know you can’t give any details on.”

Speculation around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continues to grow

Rumors surrounding Swift and Kelce’s wedding plans have intensified for months after reports surfaced claiming the couple became engaged in August 2025.

Neither Swift nor Kelce has officially confirmed a wedding date publicly, but speculation has exploded online as fans search for clues through friends, family members and public appearances.

Reports have suggested the celebrity couple could tie the knot in New York City on July 3, though no official announcement has been made.

The fascination surrounding the relationship has only grown because of the couple’s enormous global popularity.

Swift remains one of the world’s biggest music stars following the massive success of her Eras Tour and recent album releases, while Kelce continues to be one of the NFL’s most recognizable personalities thanks to his success with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Antonoff’s connection to Swift goes back more than a decade. The two have collaborated extensively on albums including “1989,” “Reputation,” “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Midnights,” and “The Tortured Poets Department.”

Their friendship has also extended beyond music, with Antonoff often appearing alongside Swift during major moments in her career.

Because of that close relationship, fans have long assumed Antonoff would likely play a major role in any future wedding celebration.

Yet his appearance on live television made it clear that those inside Swift’s inner circle are determined to keep details private.

For now, the rumored “wedding of the summer” remains wrapped in secrecy, and Antonoff clearly intends to keep it that way.
