When everyone becomes a clone of eachother, then what?
The trend of the times seems to be hyperindividuality but somehow homogenized.

If you get an AI face, whats the point of actors, models or influencers?
Corps can just pump out their own avatars and bypass paying people all together

I think one factor is they want to look the part of a celebrity. They want to differentiate themselves from us

I’m gonna keep my “Aaaaarghh” face. I’ve given up caring. I can see my dad’s nose, my mum’s eyes, my grandad’s chin and my gran’s hair when I look in the mirror and that’s a nice thing. I can’t afford Botox so I’m going to do a fringe like Sia at some point and try not to bump into doors.

This snaps back in the other direction really quickly. When beauty becomes homogeneous, novelty becomes “desirable” until that novelty becomes the coveted norm and the cycle repeats. At some point, some people realize that not doing anything to their appearance is better than fucking and then unfucking it over and over.

Interesting read. The way AI lightened the author’s complexion is maybe the most fucked up.

Young people getting plastic surgery is so sad.
It always looks terrible and always ages them horribly.
