Mister Rogers was genuinely a kind soul, a gem of a person. Truly no one like him and I think we can all strive to be a little like him. I’m glad this generation of kids has Ms Rachel though.

He was so special. A Pittsburgh treasure and he will never be duplicated. I wish we still had him.

Mister Rogers walked so Ms Rachel could run, honestly. The fact that both of them manage to be gentle and educational without being condescending is kinda miraculous. If more kids grew up on that instead of weird YouTube slime drama we’d be in a much better place 😂

    4. I used to listen to a certain podcast until one day the host said Mister Rogers was creepy and her mom thought so too so she wasn’t allowed to watch him growing up. And then she went on for a few minutes hating on Mister Rogers. Haven’t listened since. I’m a Pittsburgh native and one thing you don’t do is talk shit about this wonderful man around us. I never met him but I met his wife about 15 years ago. She was so kind and lovely and gave me great life advice as an early 20’s girl trying to figure out her place in the world. Mister (and Mrs) Rogers forever!

    5. I’m so happy and thankful that I grew up watching Mr. Roger’s 😭🫶🏼

Genuinely love that today’s “comfort adult on a screen” for kids is someone that’s kind, gentle, and developmentally aware instead of some chaotic YouTube slime goblin.
