      I’ve always thought his level of talent was incredibly overstated and overrated.

      The headlines for all these Tom Hardy on set stories are really odd when contrasted with the details.

      He has a problem with punctuality but the way they’re framing it it sounds like he’s a diva having outbursts. In both examples here, it was his costars that raised issues (with his punctuality) – absolutely no actual accounts of him doing anything overt or extra as the tone of the headlines imply.

      In the Mad Max example, every costar’s account was of both his & charlize’s behaviours equally yet every story reported it with Hardy as the headline.

      Charlize Theron said  “she felt so intimidated by Tom on set that she requested additional protection. She also accused the movie’s producer, Doug Mitchell, of forgiving Tom’s “really bad behavior” because he is a man.”  I also remember the article said he would show up hours late for filming despite this putting a huge strain on production since they were set up in the desert. So even I don’t think this is particular to this film/ tv set.

      It’s weird that he almost offed himself after Star Trek Nemesis but went on to just be a dick. I guess being an asshole is worth living for?

      Tom Hardy is Mobland.. The show has one helluva bumpy road ahead without him. They still have quite an ensemble cast, but without Hardy, many fans won’t have an interest.

      RE: The onset drama, there’s always three sides to a story. Helen’s side, Tom’s side and the truth somewhere in the middle.

      He must know and be liked, or tolerated, by some powerful people to still be getting so much work. I find his on screen work extraordinary so maybe that’s why people usually put up with him. He’s not young anymore though, so he should change his ways before this finally catches up with him.

      If you look up Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy Mad Max, you’ll find tons of stories about this same type of behavior. Charlize hates him and said she would never work with him again. She even sat in the desert in a hot ass rig for the movie and waited HOURS for him to show up. She wanted to prove a point and show what an asshole he was but that’s a lot.

      He is a pretty abusive person from what I’ve heard (I work as a crew member in tv/film) and I specifically heard of a really terrible story of him behaving on The Revenant… where he charged at crew in the hair and makeup trailer and threatened this person to the point someone had to intervene.

      I believe it. Charlize Theron had huge problems with Hardy while making Mad Max.

      Think Tom has ADHD from the sounds of things. Time blindness, attention span issues, erratic moods. I know how he feels. It’s hard.

      It would be one thing if the actors he has an antagonistic relationship with on screen made him feel like he has to cultivate that same type of relationship off-screen. We’ve all heard of method actors doing quirky things but no other method actor would do this. If there’s someone onscreen they’re supposed to hate they may not be friendly or say much at all to them off screen but they would not try to imposition the other actor. Most method actors respect the art and craft too much to disrespect how another performer gets into character. Tom doesn’t seem to have much respect for the craft, you really never hear of talented actors who are #1 on the call sheet not respecting everyone else’s time that’s usually a stereotype of a famous person acting and not of a talented actor. Not for nothing the fact that it’s a female co star with this complaint again displays his lack of respect for women. I’ve only heard his male co-stars praise him for his work ethic and performance

      Again, this shit is not coming off organic at all, who’s putting this out there to try and smear him?

      Maybe he was a dick but I’m seeing far more traction with this for it to be just an organic report on a set.

      He is notorious for coming late to set (family work in the media industry and worked on many shows with him) but also he is the nicest person ever especially to the crew and really down to earth so I can see why the crew have nothing but praise
